Remote burnout

Remote burnout is the exhaustion that comes from working at a distance without clear boundaries between the working day and personal life. It worsens when the team spans time zones and availability stretches to cover them all, so the day never quite ends.

Its early signs are not tiredness but loss of judgement and difficulty starting tasks. The most underestimated risk factor is excessive time zone overlap: accepting meetings at any hour so as not to be «the difficult one» fragments the day until no block of deep work survives.
